Multi-tenant back-office approval workspace — prepare vouchers from invoices, get them approved, issue payment letters with a full digital audit trail. No more printing and scanning.
Buinee was born out of two real client projects — one for Befesa Desalination Developments Ghana Ltd and another for Tema Oil Refinery — where finance teams were still printing vouchers, getting physical signatures, and scanning them back in. The process was slow, error-prone, and left no reliable audit trail.
The solution is a multi-tenant SaaS approval workspace with three roles: Preparer, Approver, and Supervisor — visibility running downward only, so each role sees exactly what they need and nothing more. Every approval is recorded digitally with a timestamp and the approver's identity, replacing the printed-and-scanned signature entirely.
The voucher engine handles Ghana-specific tax calculations — NHIL, GETFL, VAT, and WHT — verified against a real BDDG payment voucher and Bank of Ghana FX workbook. AI invoice extraction reads uploaded invoices and pre-fills the voucher fields, cutting manual data entry significantly.
Ada, the built-in AI assistant, connects to 18 external tools — Slack, Dropbox, Notion, Gmail, Google Drive, WhatsApp and more — and reads them contextually only when a question warrants it. Every external data block is explicitly labelled to prevent prompt injection.
Built on Python stdlib with SQLite on cPanel shared hosting — no container PaaS, no ephemeral filesystem problems, no extra infrastructure costs. Live at buinee.app and actively being marketed to Ghanaian SMEs and corporates.
